Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 8, 2026
Groupe Rénovation Montréal Inc. ("Groupe Rénovation Montréal") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how we protect it, in accordance with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25) and Canada's PIPEDA. This website and its estimator are operated for Groupe Rénovation Montréal by Engineers in Marketing, which stores the information described below on Groupe Rénovation Montréal's behalf as a service provider.
Information we collect
When you request an estimate, we collect your name, phone number, email and your project details. We only collect what is needed to respond to your request. We also record how you reached us, meaning the page you arrived on and, if you came from an ad or another website, which campaign or site referred you, so we know which of our efforts are working. We never sell that information, and we share it only as described under "Ad measurement" below.
Text messages (SMS)
When you ask to be contacted, Groupe Rénovation Montréal may call or email you about your project. If you also tick the texting box, they may send you text messages about it, including automated ones. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to end texts at any time, or HELP for help, and tell us if you no longer want calls. Texting is optional, and your consent is not a condition of purchase.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party.
Where your request is kept
Groupe Rénovation Montréal keeps your request, and the calls, texts and emails exchanged with you about it, in its customer management software, HighLevel (LeadConnector), a service provider whose servers are in the United States. Your information may therefore be stored and processed outside Canada, where the authorities of that country may be able to access it under their laws.
Use of information
We use your information only to prepare your estimate, communicate with you and carry out your project. We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies and measurement
Our site uses one measurement tool: the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, which helps us measure the performance of our advertising. What it collects depends on your choice in the cookie banner. If you accept, it may set cookies and collect usage data tied to your browser: pages viewed, actions like completing an estimate, approximate location, and device and browser information. When you then send your details through the estimator or the contact form, it also passes your email and name to Meta in hashed form (never your phone number), so Meta can recognize its own users. If you reject, or simply ignore the banner, no advertising cookie is set and the pixel does not run.
Your choice itself is stored in a small first-party cookie (eim_consent) for 180 days. It is strictly necessary to remember your decision and contains nothing else. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of every page; withdrawing stops collection in this browser from that point on and removes the measurement cookies it had set. Our host, Cloudflare, also collects aggregated, cookieless performance statistics.
The estimator saves your progress in your browser's session storage so you do not lose your answers; this stays on your device and is deleted when you close the tab. We also keep anonymous, cookieless counts of which estimator steps are reached, with no personal or device details, to improve the tool.
Ad measurement
When you get an estimate or ask us to contact you, through the estimator or the contact form, we also report it to Meta (Facebook), the platform our ads run on, so we can measure which ads lead to real requests. This report travels over a direct, secure server connection and includes your email and first name in hashed form (never your phone number): a one-way code that cannot be read back. Meta can only compare it against the equally hashed details of its own users to recognize a match; it learns nothing about people who are not its users. Technical details of the request (IP address, browser type) and, if you came from one of our ads, the click code Meta added to that ad's link are included to improve matching.
This reporting is based on the consent you give when you send your details: the notice under the estimator's contact step, which you see before entering them, or the notice under the contact form. It is separate from the Meta Pixel described above, so it applies regardless of your cookie-banner choice. You can withdraw this consent at any time by contacting us.
Retention and security
Your information is kept only as long as needed for the purposes above, then securely destroyed. We apply reasonable measures to protect it.
Your rights
You may request access to your information, its correction or its deletion. For any question, reach Groupe Rénovation Montréal through the contact form on this site.
